August a Respite Month

August is a time for NS SING to take a deep breath and rest after a busy year of monthly events (sometimes multiple events), as our NS SING continues to flourish and grow. Our leadership team is meeting in late July to reflect on where we’ve been over the prior quarter and make plans for September - December. If you have ideas for trails to hike or programs to explore, please share with a member of our leadership team or email our coordinator, Kent Harrop kentdharrop@gmail.com

Wishing you a restful August and look forward to seeing you on the trail in September!

Here’s a meditation mantra to carry with you this summer:

‘Breathing in I calm my spirit, breathing out I smile; (inhale) living in the moment, (exhale) this is the only moment.”

~ Thich Nhat Hahn, Buddhist monk and mystic
