Welcoming the Winter Solstice
When: Saturday, December 13th | 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Where: Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA), 143 County Road, Ipswich
Join us for a reflective afternoon in nature as we prepare to welcome the Winter Solstice—the moment when the light begins to return. This peaceful afternoon invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and reflect on the quiet beauty of winter’s arrival.
We’ll begin with a mindful walk, guided by Kent Harrop, along the trails to Julia Bird Reservation—moving through the stillness of the landscape and observing the subtle signs of transition. Upon returning to IRWA, we’ll gather around the fire (and a hot cup of cocoa) overlooking the river for a solstice ritual led by Stacy Keane Blagg, Celebrate the coming of winter, turning of the seasons and the light within our community. Dress warmly. Limit of 30 participants.
Join us in welcoming the deep peace of winter!
